”But He, being full of compassion forgave their iniquity, And did not destroyed them not: yea, many time turned his anger, and did not stir up all his wrath.” Psalm 78:38
Again Israel sinned against God. This seemed to be their lifestyle; that of sin and may I say deliberate sin even in the presence of God’s manifest love. But as we see in that same verse, God withheld His anger. Rather than destroy them, He forgave.
Many times we behave just like the Jews of old. There is just no one who can say he has not experienced God’s love in one way or the other, yet we hurt God through some sinful habits. Some of us may have cried and even felt condemned as though God has forsaken us.
The good news is as we recognise our sins and go to Him for forgiveness, God by His nature forgives. ”There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…” (Rom. 8) God who did not spare His Son but sacrificed Him for you cannot turn around and condemn you. It is the devil who condemns, not God.
Truly you may have been battling with an area of sin in your, but you may have been doing it by the strength of the flesh and by the flesh shall no man prevail. God knows you are weak, thus, He has given us a Helper (Comforter) in the person of the Holy Spirit who shall strenghten us even in our weakest points. Why not go to Him (the Holy Spirit) to help you this very hour. His arms are wide open to receive you because He has been waiting just to welcome you into His warm embrace.
Wipe those tears and go to Him and all those habits or shortcomings shall be a thing of the past.
God bless you.
