Mind your business.

”…that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you..” 1Thes. 4:11

Writing in a similar manner to the Church in Ephesus,  Paul said: ”If you are a thief, quit stealing. Be honest and work hard, so you will have something to give to people in need.” (Eph. 4:28 CEV).

Everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD must get busy by getting something to do with his hands. Idleness or talebearing is forbidden amongst God’s children just as stealing is a taboo.

Tell you what! The shortest way to earn respect is being busy minding your own business and having something to give to those in need.  The man that is busy has no time talking about others. He is more concerned about what he is doing than what others are up to. So if you want to get some respect, have something to give to others and see the name of the LORD honoured through you? Meditate on this:

”Try your best to live quietly, to mind your own business, and to work hard, just as we taught you to do. Then you will be respected by people who are not followers of the Lord, and you won’t have to depend on anyone.” (1Thes. 4:11-12 CEV).

You must make a commitment today and prayerfully ask the LORD to help you live a profitable life because you have no reason being idle. When your life becomes profitable, ask the LORD to help you give to those in need because God’s children should work to give and not to work to live.
